Medico Legal Experience

I have had over 8 years of Medicolegal experience. I completed first specialist training in surgery at the Royal College of Ireland. My final specialist training was in England through the College of Emergency Physicians which I am a member by examination. I became a consultant in emergency medicine in 2003 and the following year was Acting Clinical Director in my department for a while. I currently practise as a Consultant and Teaching Programme Director for the senior house doctors in my department. My main clinical interest include assessment and treatment of sports and other soft tissue injuries, minor surgical procedures such as ingrowing toenails, excision of skin blemishes and small lumps. I am an accredited expert in Medico legal work by training and examination from Cardiff University.
