Medico Legal Experience
Over the last 16 years, I have been involved in the medico-legal reporting, first as a specialist registrar and over the last nine years as a Consultant ENT Surgeon. The types of cases have been varied and have included all the disciplines of ENT. I have done reporting on facial injuries after assaults and road traffic accidents, ear and hearing function assessment, smell disorders, hoarseness of voice, dizziness and assessment of sleep apnoea and snoring. But most of my reports have been on noise-induced hearing loss.
SPECIAL INTEREST:
I am trained in, and practice all fields of Otorhinolaryngology and, hence, am quite comfortable to do medico-legal reporting in all the relevant fields. However, the areas of my particular interests are Otology and assessment of middle ear and inner ear function, including hearing loss, tinnitus and vertigo. This is my main interest in my NHS practice as well.
