Medico Legal Experience

I have acquired extensive experience as an expert witness over the past 15 years, mainly in civil litigation, and alleged medical negligence in particular. Approximately 25 expert witness reports are prepared per year, in addition to reports for private health insurers, occupational health services, and Mental Health Review Tribunals, and reports prepared by junior doctors under my supervision. I have examined and reported on many cases of adults following alleged abuse as children, particularly in the Irish Industrial School system, and have acted as External Adviser to convenors regarding complaints in the NHS in four cases. I am on the UK Register of Expert Witnesses and a full member of The Academy of Experts.
