Michael Swash MD FRCP FRCPath (dob 29 January 1939) Emeritus Professor of Neurology, St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London, Queen Mary School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London, and Honorary Consultant Neurologist, The Royal London Hospital, London E1 Educated at Forest School, London, and qualified from The London Hospital Medical College in 1962. Exchange clinical student at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, USA, 1961. House Appointments in London and Bath, and experience in General Practice in Westbury, Wiltshire and Tottenham, London. Postgraduate training at University Hospitals of Cleveland (Case-Western Reserve University), Cleveland, Ohio, USA and Washington University, St Louis, Missouri, USA - 3 years postgraduate training in Neurology and Neurophysiology (1965-1968). Returned to The Royal London Hospital (1968) as Registrar in Neurology, and then as MRC Research Fellow in Neuropathology (1969-70), and as Senior Registrar in Neurology (1971).
