Medico Legal Experience

I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon who retired from West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust in April 2006. I was appointed to this position in 1984 and practiced at Hemel Hempstead General Hospital and St Albans City Hospital during this period. I have now been made an Honorary Consultant to the Trust. I have prepared medico-legal reports on behalf of solicitors and/or their agents for the past 25 years. I am able to undertake medico-legal consultations at my surgery in Sewell, nr Dunstable and also in Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Norwich and Loughton. My claimant/defendant/joint ratio is approximately 50%/30%/20%. I am a member of the Society of Expert Witnesses and have had the experience of appearing in Court in such capacity. I have a special interest in knee cruciate and multi-ligament injuries. I am fully trained in general trauma and orthopaedic conditions and operations. I have a particular interest in the hip, knee, foot and spine regions and have prepared several papers in relation to these subjects. I have been involved in the development of artificial joints and instrumentation which has been integrated into a busy clinical practice. I am a member of the Society of Expert Witnesses and have had experience appearing in Court in such a capacity. PUBLICATIONS 1. Surgical Removal of Tattoos by CO2 Laser J.P.
