Medico Legal Experience
I have for many years practised in the area of assessment of personal injury dealing almost totally with the psychological aspects of personal injury. Such injuries often lead to psychological problems following vehicle accidents or other unforseen events leading to minimal brain damage or minimal brain dysfunction. I have published a book entitled: "The Psychological Aspects of Personal Injuries", published by Barry Rose Law Publications in August 2002. Additionally, I have written and published a number of articles dealing with post-traumatic stress, the effect brain damage, panic attacks, the consequences upon victims of violent crime and personality changes which often occur as a result of brain injuries. I am a member of the Division of Neuropsychology of British Psychological Society. I have also written and published in the area of malingering. See my website for a full list of articles. In addition to the assessment of psychological injuries due to physical trauma I have practised as a clinician in the area of therapy using predominantly cognitive behaviour therapeutic approaches in seeking to remedy the difficulties faced by victims of personal injury.
