Medico Legal Experience

My particular work relates to the physical and social aspects of trauma. I am actively involved in the management of trauma I have being providing medico legal reports mainly for personal injury, employers liability and criminal injury since 1994. I am instructed by both claimants and defendants lawyers and insurance. I have received training in the responsibilities of a single expert and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and Practice Direction. (PD) I attend regularly courses and conferences to update my knowledge in all aspects of medico-legal work .I am a holder of a Medico Legal Expert’s Certificate by London City University (2005). I have also received training and attended court as an expert witness. I have experience in preparing reports for both claimants and defendants with a ratio 3:1 although most instructions are now received as single joint expert. I have an interest in General Orthopaedics and Trauma, soft tissue injuries to the cervical, thoraco-lumbar spine and lower limb pathology. at a busy teaching hospital. I also held a tertiary referral practice for severe foot and ankle pathology and run a multidisciplinary neck and back clinic.
