Medico Legal Experience
Professor Bell undertook his neurosurgical training in Cambridge, London, and Edinburgh and became a consultant neurosurgeon at St George's Hospital in 1986. In 1988 he was Hunterian Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons and he was appointed Professor of Neurosurgery in the University of London in 1991.
He has published widely on neurosurgical topics and has 25 years experience of preparing medicolegal reports for plaintiffs and defendants. He has had extensive involvement in pre-trial conferences with Counsel and experience of cross examination as an expert witness in Court. He co-authored sections in the 1990 edition of Kemp and Kemp.1,2
