Medico Legal Experience

I am well versed in the preparation of expert reports in the fields of trauma, disability and personal injury.  I am familiar with the Law Society /British Orthopaedic Association guidelines as well as the Civil Procedure Rules. 

I have attended various symposia on medico-legal reporting in orthopaedic surgery.  I have set up a special interest group of Orthopaedic Surgeons in the Northwest of England addressing medico-legal issues, both personal injuries and medical negligence.  I have also carried out and presented original scientific work on personal injury claimants. 

I act as a consultant specialist member on Home Office Police medical appeal boards.  I act as an Orthopaedic Clinical Adviser to the Health Care Commission. 

I currently deal mainly with personal injury claims preparing about 250 reports per year.  My average time for preparation of a report is two weeks.
