Medico Legal Experience

MEDICO-LEGAL I am an experienced A&E Consultant who has been providing Medico-legal reports, on a regular basis, for nearly 20 years and I currently prepare about 150 (full) reports per year. Prior to the “Woolf reforms” my Plaintiff/Defendant report ratio was approximately 9/1. I am happy to comment on all types of trauma seen in A&E eg Whiplash, sprains/strains, most uncomplicated fractures, cuts, “bumps” and other soft tissue injuries including burns, and I have a specific interest in Paediatric trauma (excluding NAI). I prefer not to undertake clinical negligence work. Since the “Woolf reforms” I have not attended court (except for Coroner’s hearings) but, prior to these reforms, I attended Court about twice per year, usually to give “Expert” evidence.
